Bon Iver

Christmas time in little K-Town

Seriously though, this world is amazing. We took a trip to the temple with all our friends and I couldn't get over how pretty the trees looked as the sun beamed down on the frozen branches. All the trees looked like little crystals had been wrapped individually on every branch. The sky was so blue with awesome big puffy clouds. What am I thinking, I will just show you! Here are some pictures:

Seth is one of the coolest people I know. We decided to grab a pair of his scriptures and take some pictures for his mission! So much fun!

Flying High

One of my favorite things about life are random adventures! Today was totally one of those days! My dad came up the stairs and said Hey Madi, wanna to go on a helicopter ride? I responded IS THAT EVEN A QUESTION? So we scheduled a sunset ride and decided to make a date out of it! Went to dinner and then on the helicopter. It was so much fun going through the canyon and mostly being with my dad! We kept saying man are we blessed! Life is gooood

Live is so so sos so sososososo great:)

I absolutely LOVE Mondays these days.... wanna know why? IT'S MAGICAL MISSIONARY MAIL MONDAY!!!! I can't believe how many amazing people I have had to say cya later to (not goodbyes only cya laters). I think I am done for a little bit. I can't express how much I look up to all of these boys. I just adore them all and enjoy being so spiritually uplifted every Monday getting letters/emails from them. The Lord's work is in such great hands. I was reading the First President September Message the other day. It talked about the seasons of our lives and change. Here is a little part of it:

We have seasons in our lives as well. Some are warm and pleasant. Others are not. Some of the days in our lives are as beautiful as pictures in a calendar. And yet there are days and circumstances that cause heartache and may bring into our lives deep feelings of despair, resentment, and bitterness. I am sure at one time or another we have all thought it would be nice to take up residence in a land filled only with days of picture-perfect seasons and avoid the unpleasant times in between.
But this is not possible. Nor is it desirable.
As members of His Church, as Saints, we serve joyfully and willingly in all weather and in all seasons. And as we do so, our hearts become filled with hallowed faith, healing hope, and heavenly charity.
Still, we will have to pass through all seasons—both pleasant and painful. But no matter the season, as followers of Jesus the Christ, we will rest our hope upon Him as we walk toward His light.
In short, we are Saints of God, determined to learn of Him, to love Him, and to love our fellowman. We are pilgrims on the blessed road of discipleship, and we will walk steadfastly toward our heavenly goal.
I thought this applied so much to our age group as so much change is going on in everyone's lives. Also to the change of heart and actions of their investigators. Just as we bare through the seasons every year in the weather, we must do the same with the seasons of our lives with the help of the Lord. I don't personally know, but I understand missions can be super hard as a freezing Utah winter day and as perfect as a pleasant Oregon Autumn morning in other cases. We can do anything with God in our lives! I believe this with all my heart! I'm so grateful for these valiant young men and women who are out standing strong in the seasons of our lives. Yaaaaay for missionaries!
